   Proposal Description:
   Main Question: Is there a difference in the risk of developing dementia symptoms due to AD over time between cognitively normal African Americans (AAs) and Caucasians?  Objectives: Determine whether racial disparity in the risk of developing AD dementia over time exists between cognitively normal AAs and Caucasians at baseline and how AD risk factors exert influence on the racial disparity.  Main Outcomes and Measures: The time from baseline to the onset of dementia symptoms due to AD, defined as the first occurrence of a CDR #88050.5 with a primary etiologic diagnosis of AD.
